Nintendo unveiled Mario Kart 7 for the 3DS handheld video game system at the LA Auto Show, and as an additional surprise, they also debuted real-life versions of the karts from the game created by West Coast Customs (of MTV's "Pimp My Ride"). Check them out in the West Hall Lobby.

The Hot Wheels display in the West Hall Lobby features their custom-built truck that Tanner Foust successfully drove to a world distance record 332 ft jump at this year's Indianapolis 500, as well as the Indy car used in a theoretical test of driving upside down.

Hyundai understands how crowded it can get at an auto show and the anguish of a lost child. Families with children can come to the Hyundai booth to receive a free "Hyundai Loves Kids" wristband for their children. Each wristband has a place for parents to write their phone number in case their child gets separated from their family. These wristbands have proven to be successful in reuniting parents with their children.
