2013 Western Automotive Conference

Biltmore Hotel

The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) in partnership with J.D. Power and Associates has created the Western Automotive Conference, which will be held at the Biltmore Hotel on Nov. 19. Highlights of the half-day conference, hosted by the Los Angeles Auto Show in association with the Greater Los Angeles New Car Dealers Association (GLANCDA), include: keynote remarks and presentations from top-level executives on the state of the industry and U.S. economy; panel discussions with automakers, innovative new-car dealers and allied professionals; and a networking lunch and reception.

Connected Car Expo
South Hall Lobby

In response to the rapid changes that new technologies such as driver assist and cloud-based infotainment are fueling in the automotive industry, the LA Auto Show organizers have created the Connected Car Expo.

The Connected Car Expo is a one-day conference and three-day expo for automotive and technology companies shaping current innovations and designing the future of the connected car space. It also will serve as an open forum providing attendees with access to the personalities, key players and top media constructing the future of the connected car.

Green Car of the Year Award
Concourse Foyer

For the ninth consecutive year, Green Car Journal will present its Green Car of the Year® award honoring environmental leadership in the automotive field. The winning vehicle is announced during a morning press conference at the Los Angeles Auto Show Press Days on Nov. 21 in the Concourse Foyer.

 


Green and Advanced Technology Ride and Drive

 

The exclusive media ride-and-drive highlights both “green” vehicles as well as those featuring advanced in-car technology such as automatic park assist, radar-based object detection systems and driver assist technologies. This event brings together one of the broadest selections of green and advanced technology vehicles for side-by-side test drives on open city streets as well as in closed course demonstrations. It is anticipated that more than 30 all-new vehicles will be available from more than a dozen manufacturers. Specific vehicles available to drive will be announced shortly.
